RI to host 3rd ministerial conference on housing, urban development in Surakarta

Indonesia will host the 3rd Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development in Surakarta, Central Java, starting on June 22.
Event organizer secretary Antonius Budiono said Wednesday that about 68 countries in the region would take part in the three-day conference. “So far, we have 26 countries that confirmed their participation,” he added.
Budiono said that the conference would talk on community empowerment for a sustainable urbanization in Asia-Pacific. The region has 11 capitals with a minimum 10 million population, he added.
