Thousands of Malaysian Muslims have burnt Israeli flags and carried mock coffins in a second protest outside the US Embassy since last week's raid on a Gaza aid flotilla.
More than 5,000 protesters were led by opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim who called on Washington to condemn its ally Israel. The rally Friday also called for an independent international inquiry into the deadly Israeli raid last month.
Waving Palestinian flags and chanting "Long live Islam," "Free Gaza" and "Down with Israel," the protesters marched from a mosque in downtown Kuala Lumpur to the heavily guarded embassy.
Six Malaysians, including a lawmaker and two journalists, are aboard the Rachel Corrie ship that is making a new attempt to break Israel's blockade of Gaza.
