One dead injured in Papua landslide

A landslide triggered by heavy rain killed a 36-year-old woman in Dok V area in Jayapura, Papua, on early Friday, Antara state news agency reported.
A local state official, Washington Turip, told the agency that Rumbeka Degey died after being buried in the landslide that hit three houses at around 5:30 a.m. local time (3:30 a.m. Jakarta time).
Heavy rainfall had hit the area in the past two days before.
On Friday morning, local residents, security personnel and state officials worked together to clear the ruins.
