Former deputy mayor's husband commits suicide

SEMARANG, Central Java: The husband of a deputy mayor candidate, Dasih Ardiantri, who lost the Semarang city elections in April this year, committed suicide at his office Friday.

Sutoto Agus Pramono's body was found hanging from his office's stairs by a family member, who then broke into the office.

Chief of the East Semarang Police Adj. Sr. Comr. Kukuh Kalis said preliminary examinations on Sutoto's body suggested suicide.

"The family is still mourning and cannot talk to media," he said. - JP
