President to visit Muara Angke mangrove forest

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and several Cabinet members are scheduled to visit Muara Angke mangrove forest in North Jakarta on Monday morning.
The visit comes just two days after the World Environment Day, which falls on June 5.
The mangrove forest, covering nearly 100 hectares, is one of the biggest mangrove conservation areas in the country. It has been turned into an ecotourism park to support rehabilitation of the mangrove forest.
As of April 2006, 40 hectares of the area has been rehabilitated.
Accompanying the President during the visit will be Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Youth Affais and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng, Environment Ministsre Gusti Muhammad Hatta, State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam and Jakarta governor Fauzi Bowo, Antara state news agency reported.
