The National Police have summoned three high-profile celebrities in relation to sex videos, allegedly featuring them, that have been circulating on the Internet, capturing the public’s attention.

National Police chief detective Comr. Gen. Ito Sumardi said Wednesday that police were summoning pop-rock band Peterpan lead singer Nazril “Ariel” Irham, and TV presenters Luna Maya and Cut Tari.

“We sent summons letters to [the celebrities] to ask for clarification last night,” Ito said as quoted by kompas.com.

Ito said the police were still waiting for answers from the celebrities’ lawyer before scheduling sessions for questioning.

Last Friday, the first video made the rounds on several websites, allegedly showing Ariel having sex with current girlfriend Luna Maya.

On Tuesday, the term “Ariel Peterporn”, a play on his name, band and the sex tapes, hovered at the top of Twitter's topics, following the release of a video allegedly featuring Ariel and Cut Tari.
