Text your say: Remembering Hasan di Tiro

A- A A+

Your comments on Hasan di Tiro, the former leader of Free Aceh Movement passed away, on Thursday.

Good riddance to a foreign-funded (CIA) terrorist and a colonial puppet. Note: He "fled to the USA".

Allah is wise and all knowing. Amen.

It is nice to come back home, isn't it?

Hassan di Tiro partially succeeded in realizing his political dreams and no other political leaders in the history of rebellions in Indonesia has achieved as much as he did.

All political leaders in Indonesia should remember that peace in Aceh has been enabled by the mutually agreed points of understanding. The government has not yet implemented the points because the arrangement process is still ongoing.

When the process is complete and the Indonesian government again treats Aceh as it did previously, Aceh separatism will rise again. There is no difference between Aceh's generation of today and that of the future. Aceh has its national esteem and it will react to any oppression.

Now, we will see how the commitment of the Republic is fulfilled. Aceh would not be in the present position if it had not been due to the role of Hasan di Tiro, but the situation is not yet in line with the Helsinki Memorandum of Understanding.

Our American freedom fighter, pilot Captain Bobby Earl Freeberg's C-47 Dakota was given the call sign number RI-002, as number RI-001 was reserved for the Aceh freedom fighter's effort to purchase a C-47 Dakota aircraft.

Bravo to our brothers and sisters in Aceh, and to the late Captain Bobby Earl Freeberg. Thank you.
