Letter: Attack on Gaza flotilla

I have just read Reuters’ report on the autopsy result of the people who
were killed by Israeli soldiers on the Mavi Marmara. The report states
that some of the people were shot multiple times from close range.
The American and Israeli people have to accept the fact that today’s
so-called “terrorists” are the result of the decades-old Palestine
problem. America has armed Israel to the teeth and has supported Israel
by vetoing any strong condemnation of Israel’s action in the UN Security
Council (UNSC). The UNSC is a paper tiger. The members of the UNSC do
not have to guts to condemn America’s support of Israel.
Today, America
is not the financial and military force it once was thanks to the
financial meltdown caused by the wizards on Wall Street, so we can hope
to see more condemnation of America’s support of Israel.
Since the flotilla attack, I have really started wondering why Hitler
chose only Jews as his guinea pigs on which to conduct his murderous
experiments, and not on people of other religions or nationalities. It
seems that the present generation of Jews has forgotten the inhumane
treatment their parents and grandparents were subjected to by Hitler.
The result is that the Jewish government of Israel is making Israel and
Jews detested by the world. Maybe they do not care because they have
“Uncle Sam” to help them. The American system is controlled by Jews who
will do anything to support Israel, even to the detriment of America.
But we also know that the people and the government of America are
getting rattled by the arrogance of Israel.
I know my letter will be responded to by supporters of Israel, who will
point to Hamas and Hezbollah as examples of anti-Israel and anti-America
militant organizations. However, it must not be forgotten that these
so-called militant organizations and “Islamic” terrorists have cropped
up only because of the situation in Palestine, which has been festering
for decades. It is solely the Palestinian issue that has upset Muslims
all over the world, making them rise against Israel and America.
Palestine has become the rallying issue for Muslims, both peaceful and
militant. The peaceful people show their defiance to Western countries
who support Israel by insisting on wearing their traditional Islamic
dresses, including covering their faces with a veil.
With regard to terrorists — didn’t America support the Taliban in their
war against the Russian occupation? Didn’t America announce a “gift” of
US$43 million in 2001 to the Taliban because they were supposed to have
destroyed the opium crops?
So why are the Taliban being called “terrorists”? Was Osama bin Laden a
business “partner” of former US president George Bush as some reports
allege? Wasn’t Saddam Hussein a staunch ally of America before he was
done in by America’s greed for Iraqi oil and accused of hobnobbing with
“terrorists” like Osama bin Laden’s al-Qaeda?
Every one knows that the Palestinians need a piece of land to call their
own country. They need freedom of movement, peace of mind, an honest
way to earn a decent livelihood. But this is not going to happen in the
near future. There is no great statesman in Israel. There is no forceful
leader in America. There is no Hitler either to teach the Israelis
another lesson in medical science. Sorry for sounding so cruel — that is
my mood today.
