One dead after quake hit West Sulawesi

One person was reported dead and at least 50 houses damaged in Lambara hamlet in North Mamuju, West Sulawesi, after a 5.3-magnitude earthquake on Wednesday morning.
Antara state news agency reported that a number of people were also injured after the earthquake hit the area at 8:52 a.m. local time.
Saidiman Marto, spokesman of North Mamuju regency, said that the dead victim, identified as Awak, was reportedly killed after being buried at a stonemine during the quake.
The quake was also felt in neighboring province of Southeast Sulawesi.
