RI shuttler Sony grabs title at Singapore

Indonesian shuttler Sony Dwi Kuncoro beat Thailand’s Boonsak Ponsana to win the men's single title at the Singapore Open Super Series badminton championship in Singapore on Sunday.
Sony, who was seeded seventh, managed to trash fourth-seed Ponsana 21-19, 21-19 in 45 minutes, as reported by kompas.com.
World champions Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir of
Indonesia are expected to grab mixed doubles title. The pair is scheduled to
match against Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl from Denmark later in the
day.
