Jamsostek to buy PLN, Telkom bonds worth Rp 2 trillion

State-owned insurance company Jamsostek president director Hotbonar Sinaga has said that he aims to buy bonds issued by state-run power company PLN and state-owned telecommunication company Telkom this year.
"We are going to invest Rp 1 trillion (US$110 billion) and Rp 1.2 trillion to buy PLN and Telkom bonds respectively," Hotbonar said Monday in Jakarta as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Hotbonar said that the company preferred to invest its fund on bonds instead of conventional deposits. "The interest rate in bond investment reaches two digits on average, while deposits only one digit," he added.
