An elderly Japanese woman, Tomie Goto, 78, of Kanagawa was found dead in her house in Pecatu, South Kuta, Bali, at around 11.30 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
South Kuta Police chief Adj. Comr. Nanang Prihasmoko said Goto had allegedly died of a stroke.
“So far, we haven’t found any criminal indication on her death,” he added.
Nanang said his team would carry out further investigations on the cause of the death. The police would conduct postmortem examination in a couple of days after obtaining the widow's family's consent, he added.
