Bekasi Police are hunting for two suspects for allegedly robbing a bank customer who had just withdrawn money Wednesday afternoon.
Abdul Hamid, 57, a resident of Sumber Jaya subdistrict in Tambun Selatan, was parking his motorcycle after withdrawing Rp 105 million (US$11,655) from Bank Central Asia’s Cikarang branch when suddenly two men riding a motorcycle approached him from behind.
“One of the suspects cut the victim’s bag with knife and warned him not to fight back” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said Thursday on the police's official information site.
The case is now being handled by Cikarang Police. Jakarta Police coordinate the activities of all police offices in Greater Jakarta areas, which include Bekasi, Tangerang and Depok.
