Letter: Learning from how soccer is played

Please allow me to express my appreciation and thanks for your opinion articles that appeared in your June 20 edition.

By putting all four articles on the same page, you are successfully expressing the real meaning of the basic philosophy of human life we learned from the father of South Africa, Nelson Mandela and Johan Galtung, both very much oriented to the Hindu satyagraha philosophy.

I cannot agree more with you that we as individuals and people must get rid ourselves of every type of violence (direct, cultural, structural or whatever) to enable ourselves learn “how to play football” to bring ourselves to the ultimate goal: Prosperity, both spiritually and materially.

My special appreciation goes to Nury Vittachi’s article on self-surgery, which is so loaded with his first-class sense of humor.
