President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is scheduled to speak at the Turkish Parliament in Ankara on Tuesday evening local time.
News portal tempointeraktif.com reported that Yudhoyono will make the speech at 4:30 a.m. local time (8:30 p.m. Jakarta time).
Among topics the President will talk about is the effort toward peace in the Middle East, especially support for Palestine independence.
“As members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference [OIC], we have to do a lot for the Islam community,” Yudhoyono told the Indonesian delegation for Turkey and the Indonesian Ambassador to Turkey on Monday night local time.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono arrived in Ankara on Monday for a three-day working visit – the first Turkish visit by an Indonesian president in the past 25 years.
During his stay in Turkey, Yudhoyono will hold bilateral meetings with President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin.
Yudhoyono is also scheduled to attend an Indonesia-Turkey business forum in Istanbul. About 800 Turkish businessmen will take part in the business forum.
The President will leave Turkey on Wednesday for Saudi Arabia to perform a minor haj pilgrimage.
