A 5.1-magnitude quake jolted Bengkulu province at 7:49 a.m. on Wednesday, a state agency has reported. There was no immediate report of injury or damage.

The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency located the epicenter of the quake in the Indian Ocean at 150 kilometers southwest off the province at a depth of 71 kilometers beneath the seabed.

Earlier this month, a 5.1-magnitude earthquake also hit the province, but there was no injury or damage reported.

The province had also been hit by three mild quakes earlier this year.
