AKARTA: A 3-kilogram liquid petroleum gas canister spewed freezing gas in a food stall in Meruya, West Jakarta, on Monday, injuring three workers, including the stall owner — Jaenah.
Darkasih, Jaenah’s brother, who also worked at the stall, said the incident happened as Jaenah was replacing an empty canister.
When Jaenah plugged the hose and the regulator into the new canister, gas suddenly shot out, he said.
“There were no flames,” he added. “My sister was bending down so the gas injured her face and arms.”
Two other women working in the kitchen, Siti Anissa and Nur Hamida, immediately called for help. Bystanders brought Jaenah to Klinik Safira Hospital, reported Beritajakarta.com. — JP
