Two thieves killed in motorcycle chase

Two men were killed in a motorcycle accident early Tuesday fleeing a woman who they had allegedly robbed in Singkawang, West Kalimantan.

Antara news agency reported that the alleged thieves, identified as Suryadi (19) and Yudas (19), died after losing control of their motorcycle and crashing while being chased by Heti Nurhati (18) and Meri (19) on Jl. Pahlawan, Singkawang.

Suryadi died on the scene while Yudas died at Abdul Aziz Hospital.

Heti told the news agency that she and Meri were riding on  Jl. Jendral Sudirman when the men snatched her purse.

Both women later chased the men while yelling for help. Yudas kicked the women's motorcycle to fend them off.

The women fell of their motorcycle, but the men also lost control of their motorcycle and crashed.
