Explosion heard at Freeport

Witnesses near gold mining company PT Freeport Indonesia in Timika, Papua, have said they heard a loud explosion coming from the company's headquarters. Local police have yet to confirm the source of the blast.
“We have not received a follow up report on the explosion in the Freeport Indonesia area. We are still investigating the crime scene,” Mimika Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Muhammad Sagi told The Jakarta Post on Wednesday.
Local residents reportedly heard the blast at around 12 p.m. local time.
