The Central Jakarta administration said Wednesday it would hold a National Monument (Monas) Festival at the monument compound from Thursday to Sunday.
The festival aims to promote Betawi culture and cultures from other regions.
It will feature art and performances from Jakarta, Cirebon, Tangerang, Sumedang, Bandung and Tasikmalaya, a bazaar and exhibition.
Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo would officially open the festival on Friday.
