Text your say: Police plan to sue ‘Tempo’

A- A A+

Your comments on the police plan to sue Tempo magazine, alleging its cover illustration is libelous.

The National Police have to know that today there is nothing they can hide because the people have smelled what is rotten behind them.
It is not like during the New Order when the rotten things could be hidden behind closed doors.

If there is an ensuing court case, we can expect the police to stay true to form and pay judges for a favorable outcome, further exacerbating the rift between them and the public.

To sue Tempo magazine for alleging its cover illustration was libelous, is a childish move by the National Police.
The illustration of a police officer holding piggybanks on a leash is relevant to the articles contained in the magazine.
The magazine reported that several police officers were in possession of large mysterious bank accounts, a fact that needs to be investigated and clarified.
Would it be more pleasant for the police if the piggybanks were illustrated in the form of cocks?

Someone should explain to the police that slander is spoken and libel is written.
