Toyota Astra Motor announced Wednesday the company has recalled about 60 Lexus LS460 and LS400 sedans following Toyota Motor’s global recall of eight models of Crown and Lexus sedans.

Toyota Astra president director Johnny Darmawan said the owners of the cars had been informed.

The global recall was prompted by reports of sudden engine failures. Toyota Motor has said there have been no casualties linked to the failures.

“The new components have been sent by Toyota Motor. Lexus Indonesia will install [the new parts] without additional charges,” said Johnny as quoted by Kompas.com.

Lexus Indonesia said it had received no complaints of engine failures from its customers.

“We are conducting the recall as a precaution,” he said, adding that repairs would be completed by the end of July.
