Text your say: Police plan to sue ‘Tempo’

They really have nothing to complain about. They constructed their reputation with their actions and now must atone for this analogy.
I’m glad Tempo and everyone else in the press are still pushing the freedom of the press — even as others try to repress them.

We all know the police are corrupt from the top to the bottom, but comparing them to pigs is unfair. I have never been threatened or bullied by a pig!
They are the leeches that suck the life out of this country and keep the majority in poverty!

How ridiculous and illogical can the National Police get? Instead of hauling out solid evidence to show that the named police officers in Tempo are “clean”, they holler bloody murder and even threaten
to sue Tempo. Way to go, Tempo, you certainly hit a very painful nerve there!

“We are ordinary human beings.
If you want to criticize us, don’t do it like that,” President SBY told the press.
This quote baffles me...the front page of Tempo only depicts a policeman holding a piggy banks and they find it insulting. In my 60 years of being alive in Indonesia, I have never met a decent
policeman that has done their job well without asking me for anything.
If I were Tempo, I would have a picture of a rat wearing the police uniform.
That would be a true representation of the police in Indonesia since they are greedy and run to the sweetest smelling deals and run away from their responsibilities in handling the FPI nuisance.

What is there to sue for when it is only a public secret that top police officers are obscenely rich?
The only thing they could and would do is to “retaliate” using less standard procedures.
To sue Tempo would just bring more attention to this matter.

It’s just as if we were watching a mafia movie. The police have no choice if they want to prove they are not part of the mafia.
First, uncover this violence and second, let the KPK investigate the officer’s piggy banks.
