LPSK chairman to testify in Anggodo trial

Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) chairman Abdul Haris Semendaway will testify in the graft trial of businessman Anggodo Widjojo on Tuesday.
The Tuesday's trial session, which was begun at 9 a.m., will also hear testimony from Anggodo's lawyer Bonaran Situmeang.
Anggodo is on trial for attempting to bribe Bibit Samad Rianto and Chandra M. Hamzah, deputy chairmen of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), with Rp 5.1 billion (US$561,000) through Ari Muladu last year to drop an investigation into his brother Anggoro Widjojo.
Two officials of LPSK, I Ktut Sudiharsa and Myra Diarsi, have been officially dismissed over ethical violations for their role in the alleged incrimination of the KPK deputy chairmen .
A wiretapped conversation among officials played at the Constitutional Court las year revealed the LPSK officials' cooperation with Anggodo in the conspiracy to incriminate Bibit and Chandra.
