President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will meet with House of Representatives speakers at the House building in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Anis Matta, one of deputy House speakers, said that in the meeting, which would be started at 10 a.m., the President and the House speakers would discuss a number of issues, including regional expansion, financial safety net law and the Judicial Commission.

“All are strategic issues,” Priyo Budi Santosa, another deputy House speaker, told tempointeraktif.com.

Priyo, however, could not confirm whether the meeting would also discuss a recent evaluation on ministers’ performance, in which a number minister have been given “red marks.”

Priyo has suggested the President reshuffle ministers with poor performance.

Last week, the Presidential Work Unit for Development Monitoring and Control (UKP4) have given quarter of 45 ministries and state institutions “red marks” for failure to implement dozens of national development priority programs in the first half of the year.

Among the institutions performing poorly includes the Public Works Ministry, the Justice and Human Rights Ministry, the Communications and Information Technology Ministry and the National Disaster Mitigation Agency.
