Democratic Party legislator Ramadhan Pohan says that President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s authority in determining a cabinet reshuffle must not be interfered with by other interests.
“The President cannot be dictated to by anyone. A cabinet reshuffle is his decision. If anyone proposes a cabinet reshuffle, SBY will ignore it as unnecessary interference,” Democratic Party’s Ramadhan Pohan said on Thursday.
Pohan said he suspected the people who proposed a cabinet reshuffle harbor hidden agendas.
However, the chief of the Presidential Work Unit for Development Monitoring and Control (UKP4), Kuntoro Mangkusubroto, recently reported that several ministries were given red marks for poor performance.
Those ministries include the Communication and Information Ministry, and the Law and Human Rights Ministry, Golkar Party cadre Priyo Budi Santoso proposed a cabinet reshuffle of ministers he deemed unworthy of leading their ministerial positions.
