A tiger has mauled a cocoa farmer to death in the Aceh jungle of Pulo Lai in Pidie regency as he was herding his buffalo.
Local residents found partially eaten body of Cut Hasan on Wednesday after a day of search, village head Muhammad Sabi Basyah told Antara news agency on Thursday.
“Initially we discovered his drink bottle, then his hat and finally his body,” Sabi said, adding that Hasan was last was seen on Tuesday.
Sabi said Hasan, a father of eight children, used to return home before the dusk.
The remains of the farmer were buried later on Wednesday at a local cemetery.
