RI, Aussie agree to speed up FTA signing

Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu has said that the country had agreed to fasten a settlement on the free trade agreement with Australia.

Mari, however, did not mention the date of the signing.

She said that Australia had a potential market. Thailand has begun its free trade agreement with Australia, she added.

“We should take the opportunity … Let’s not see Australia as a sole market destination but also a chance to expand our market in Asia,” said Mari.
