DENPASAR: The Denpasar Transportation Agency has reprimanded six taxi operators for violating their operating permits.
Agency head Made Santha said he issued warning letters to the operators last week to improve their service, but that he had not received any response.
The six taxi operators are PT Praja Bali Transportasi, Komotra Bali, Kowinu, Koperasi Taxi Jimbaran, Koperasi Wahana Taxi and Koperasi Taxi Ngurah Rai Bali.
He said most of the named operators violated regulations by placing company logos on the bodies of their taxis. Other violations include ignoring operating standards such as not using the official meters.
The agency had previously summoned the six taxi operators, all of whom failed to show.
“We will give them a month to improve their service otherwise we will issue second and third warning letters. If they fail to respond to the letters, we will revoke their operating permits,” Santha said. — JP
