The House of Representatives plans to schedule a meeting with National Police Chief Gen. Bambang Hendarso Danuri over huge fund in police general bank accounts, after a canceled one on Monday.

“We will reschedule it immediately,” Aziz Syamsuddin, the House Commission III deputy chairman in charge of legal affairs, told tempointeraktif.com on Tuesday.

Police have said that of the 23 reportedly suspicious personal bank accounts, 17 had been cleared of any indication of crime, three were still under verification, one could not be further examined because its owner had passed away, and only two were considered problematic.

The police have refused to disclose the identities of the account owners, saying to do so would violate the 2008 Freedom of Public Information Law, which exempts certain information from being disclosed.
