Indonesian-Dutch man found murdered

JAKARTA: An Indonesian citizen of Dutch decent, Josh Lanbridge, 60, was found dead with stab wounds in his apartment in Puri Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Monday.
“His body was found Sunday night by his son who wanted to take his father out,” Central Jakarta police criminal unit chief Comr. Budi Sartono said as quoted by detik.com.
According to Budi, there were bruises on the back of Lanbridge’s head and several stab wounds on his body.
“The body has been brought to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital for a post-mortem. We have also interrogated several people in this case,” he said.
Budi said the police were investigating the murder of the foreign consultant, who had been an Indonesian citizen since 1980s.
Central Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Hamidin told reporters that the police had identified the murderer, but refused to elaborate. — JP
