Commenting on Jakarta administration’s plan to limit the number of motorcycles by applying road closures during peak hours on main roads in the capital, Jakarta councilor Aliman Aat, from the Democratic Party, said that providing motorcyclists with a special lane would go further in solving traffic problems.
“Basically, we need a special lane for motorcycles. If the city applies the limitation plan, motorcyclists will surely complain,” the member of Jakarta Council’s Commission B said Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.
Aliman said the commission would hold a hearing with the administration to evaluate the limitation plan.
