Sunda Kelapa Port Police have arrested a ship crew member for allegedly killing a crew member of another ship over a dispute at the port in North Jakarta on early Thursday.

Second Insp. Antonius told tempointeraktif.com that the suspect, Tarjuki, 35, of Indramayu, West Java, allegedly killed Nurdin, 26, using a wooden block. The victim died of severe head injury during treatment at Atmajaya Hospital.

Antonius said that Tarjuki apparently was angry after being reprimanded by Nurdin to not take a woman on his ship. Tarjuki was arrested late Thursday morning.

The police officer said that Tarjuki is facing up to seven years in jail if proven guilty.
