More empty seats at House plenary session

JAKARTA: Once again, there were more empty seats than legislators, as the House of Representatives held a plenary session on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by 295 of 560 legislators as of this afternoon. Attendance was far lower than the last plenary session on July 26, which was attended by 407 legislators.
House deputy speaker Priyo Budi Santoso from the Golkar Party led the plenary session. The House has been under heavy criticism recently due to the frequent absence of legislators at meetings. — JP
