Council meeting cancelled following low attendance

MEDAN: A legislative meeting had to be postponed Friday because many council members failed to show.
The meeting was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. but was postponed twice because only a few members had arrived.
When the register was read out, only 54 of the 100 councilors were in attendance.
The meeting yo decide on a draft budget was finally cancelled.
“The board will reschedule the meeting,” council deputy speaker Kamarudin Harahap said. — JP
