Jaksa festival to run over weekend

JAKARTA: Popular backpacker and eating area Jl. Jaksa will play host to the annual Jl. Jaksa Festival and Betawi Food Festival over the weekend.
The street will be closed to cars for the event, according to the police’s traffic management center.
About 40 stalls from restaurants in eight districts in Central Jakarta will sell various kinds of Betawi traditional food at the fair, which is free to enter.
The festivals will also feature traditional art performances from West Java, East and West Kalimantan, as well as Papua.
Motorists will not be allowed to park on Jl. Jaksa during the event. — JP
