Police have named a civil servant a suspect in a sexual harassment case against two college students on a Transjakarta busway.
Central Jakarta Police Chief Sr. Comr. Hamidin told tempointeraktif.com that the police named the suspect late Monday.
“He is facing two years and eight months in prison [if proven guilty],” Hamidin said Tuesday.
Hamidin said the police have gathered enough testimony to name him a suspect. “Other busway passengers and a busway security officer have given their testimonies,” he said.
The suspect, whose identity has not been publicly revealed, allegedly harassed two women aged 19 and 20 on a Transjakarta bus traveling from Pulogadung to Harmoni on Monday afternoon.
