City police arrest suspected murder of alleged pedophile

Jakarta Police have arrested a man suspected of murdering a former Dutch national who was found dead last month at Puri Kemayoran apartment in Central Jakarta.

“The suspect, AS, 21, was arrested on Tuesday last week in Malang, East Java,” police spokesman Boy Raffli Amar said Tuesday as quoted by Tempointeraktif.com.

Boy said AS had killed Leemrijse Joseph C. Maria, 60, after Maria refused to have sex with him. The victim was a pedophile, he added.

The police are pursuing another suspect, identified only by the initial A, who allegedly introduced AS to the victim.
