Fire at car showroom in South Jakarta

A fire razed a car showroom near Pondok Indah shopping mall in South Jakarta on early Friday. There were no injuries reported.

News portal kompas.com reported that the fire was started at around 6 a.m.. Local fire agency deployed three fire trucks and fire fighters were able to extinguish the fire about an hour later.

“A short-circuit caused the fire on the room's ceiling,” Dendi, an official at South Jakarta Fire Agency said.

Another fire also hit a house  at a housing complex in Cipinang Muara, East Jakarta, in the morning. The fire was started at 6:20 a.m. and was extinguished at 7:15 a.m.. There were no injuries in the incident.|
