KPK to supervise Rp 1.16t House project

JAKARTA: The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it would supervise construction of a Rp 1.16 trillion (US$129.92 million) new building for the House of Representatives.
“The KPK is ready to supervise the project,” spokesman Johan Budi said.
Construction on the gigantic project, which critics say is too lavish, will start in October.
Total costs could exceed Rp 8 trillion if the facility is equipped with the information technology infrastructure requested by some legislators, sources said. — JP
