JAKARTA: Jakarta Police have started to clean Gambir and Senen railway stations from ticket scalpers as the two stations were flooded with holiday travellers returning to their hometowns for Idul Fitri celebrations.
“We are clearing the stations of criminal activity, including ticket scalpers. The assignment is conducted by sub-precinct police officers,” Central Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Hamidin said Sunday, as quoted by detik.com.
Besides clearing train stations, the Central Jakarta Police precinct would also conduct “pacification” operations during Ramadan, Hamidin said. - JP
