1,764 inmates in South Sulawesi get jail sentence reduced

As many as 1,764 inmates in South Sulawesi received on Tuesday remissions from the government during the celebration of the 65th anniversary of Indonesian Independence.
South Sulawesi Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo handed over the remission to the inmates at the Gunungsari penitentiary, Makassar.
After being granted with the remissions, 87 recipients automatically finished their jail term.
Other convicts received a reduction ranging from one to eight months.
