Jambi police are questioning five people, including a son of Jambi mayor Bambang Priyanto, in connection with an alleged drug abuse.
Provincial police chief Brig. Gen. Bambang Suparsono confirmed on Friday that FA, the mayor’s son, was arrested at an office building in front of Kapuk shopping mall in Jambi city just before the breaking of the fast on Thursday.
Suparsono added police officers caught the five men red-handed consuming crystal methamphetamine, better known as shabu-shabu.
The police identified the other four men arrested by their initials as RP, SN, AH and FF. Suparsono said one of them was the son of a former provincial legislative council member.
