Police name suspect in journalist's death

Police said Tuesday they had named a suspect in the death of SUN TV journalist Ridwan Salamun in Tual municipality, Maluku.

National Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Ketut Untung Yoga Ana said that Maluku Police had named a Fiditan village resident, identified only by his initials IR, a suspect after questioning 14 people about the incident.

Ridwan was killed Saturday while covering an intervillage clash between Banda Ely and Fiditan villages in Tual municipality, Maluku. The villagers fought using spears and machetes.
