Spiritual guru Anand Krishna to stand trial on sexual harassment charge

Spiritual guru Anand Krishna will stand trial at South Jakarta District Court Wednesday on a sexual harassment allegation, which involved him and his former students.

South Jakarta Prosecutors' Office chief Yusuf told kompas.com Wednesday that the trial was expected to start at 10 a.m.

It has been alleged that Anand sexually harassed female students while they were under the influence of hypnosis.

The case came to light when one of Anand's students, Tara Pradipta Laksmi, reported an incident to the police earlier this year.
