The committee to select the new leader of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will submit two candidates to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Friday.

Justice Minister Patrialis Akbar said on Thursday the committee would conclude the selection process later in the day and hold a plenary to decide on the two candidates to be proposed to the President.

“Only after we officially submitted the names to the President, we will make them public,” Patrialis said as quoted by kompas.com.

The two names will be selected from seven remaining candidates who have just undergone the final interview.

The President will propose the two candidates to the House of Representatives, which will pick one of them

The KPK leadership has been reduced to four after its chairman Antasari Azhar stood trial for a premeditated murder case in October last year. He was convicted and sentenced to 18 years in jail term in February this year.
