Man jumps to his death in East Jakarta

A 24-year-old man died after jumping off an elevated turnpike road into a tunnel below in Kampung Rambutan, East Jakarta, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Jakarta Police reported that the incident occurred at around 1:15 a.m. and caused some traffic congestion in the area.

Police reported that there were two women at the scene before the incident, one of them claimed to be the man's girlfriend. The police are still questioning the women.

The body was taken to Kramat Jati Hospital.
