SURABAYA: The National Agency for the Placement and Protection of Overseas Labor (BNP2TKI) said that next year it would launch a 24-hour call center for overseas Indonesian workers.
“The call center will speed up the handling of problems faced by Indonesian migrant workers,” the agency’s head, Jumhur Hidayat, said Thursday.
Migrant workers and their families will soon be able to lodge complaints or request information regarding Indonesian labor overseas, he said.
The agency is training the officials who will work in the call center to provide quality service, he said. “We have an advanced information system to effectively serve migrant workers.” —JP
