JAKARTA: For photographer Darwis Triadi, sharing knowledge about photography with young people is second nature.
Darwis looked happy while delivering his speech to young and shy-looking photographers at the Olympus Digital Photography Fair last Saturday.
“The essence of photography is playing with light. If we can play and work around the direction of light, the result will definitely be interesting and create good photographic work. But if we do it wrong, the result will no doubt be disappointing,” Darwis said.
Darwis, born Andreas Darwis Triadi, developed an interest in photography in 1979. He founded the Darwis Triadi School of Photography, which teaches students the art of taking pictures in a straightforward, easy manner. — JP
