West Jakarta Police raided a warehouse in Dadap, Tangerang, on Wednesday and found a store that allegedly had packages of coffee mixed with drugs.
Sr. Comr. Yazid Fanani, West Jakarta Police chief, told Antara state news agency that the police confiscated 20 packages of coffee, which had allegedly been mixed with ketamine, from the suspect, identified only by his initials LCW.
“The cover of the packages said they were from Malaysia. The brand was 'King White'”, said West Jakarta Police drug unit chief Comr. Kristian Siagian.
The police said they continuing their investigation into the case.
Ketamine is widely used as an animal tranquilizer, but its psychedelic side effects make it a popular recreational drug.
